2012 Update

Well a lot has happened since my last post in October 2011. I will try really hard to capture all the events and keep an updated post at least once a month.

Well here goes-

In November we moved. Cherish bought a house and of course we are all living there. This not only worked out to build her credit, since she was going to live at home for at least another two years anyways but it helped us so we did not need to rent for another two years. The house is a four bedroom, two bathroom, with a pool, and is about 1600 sq.ft. We, Rick and I, plan on living here forever, so we will buy the house from Cherish when she is ready. We are paying all the bills as if it was ours anyways. I will post in a new post before and after pictures of the house and what we have done.

December was a busier month, Cherish turned 21 on the 1st.
We did our Christmas in Prescott the first Saturday of December as we have for many years now and it was snowing, so beautiful.
I spent a week in Richmond for work. I had never been there so that was fun.
We also hosted our annual Christmas Party. Rick, Cherish, Dylan, and Tony took the lead on this party. With just moving, not decorated, and me in Richmond this was a lot of work but they did great. I returned from Richmond just hours before the party. Dylan also finished his last day of his senior year in December. Graduation is not until May but he is officially done.

In January Rick had a much need and long awaited back surgery. He recovered well and is good as new. The day before his surgery his mom had what was suppose to be a minor surgery which turned into a hospital stay of five months and she had a stroke. Mom is on a feeding tube still but does seem to be improving a little more weekly. We of course wish her a full recovery.

In February Dylan turned 18.

In March Dylan finished driving school and passed his driving test. When going to driving school you take the actual driving test but can still drive on your permit for up to a year. This saves on your insurance increase. Dylan has chose to wait until Cherish buys a car so he can buy her 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier.

In April we did family pictures, that was fun and they turned out very nice.

May was Prom and Graduation. Dylan's graduation was held at the State Fair grounds coliseum. It was very nice and we thank our family and friends who were able to make it to a graduation at 1pm on a Thursday. We do know that this was a challenge.
Cherish went to prom with Tony and of course Dylan took Traci. Tony and Traci are juniors so next year they get to go to Senior Prom. The group went and had a nice dinner at Olive Garden and then headed to Prom which was held at an Art Gallery in central phoenix.

In June I spent a week in Seattle for work. I love the rain and of course it only rained twice my whole trip and one of those days was when I was leaving.
We had a Ladies Night 80's themed party at the church. This was a lot of fun. Traci (Dylan's girlfriend of almost two years), Kathy (Traci's mom and one of our bestest friends), and I went and are looking forward to the next one.
On the last day of June Cherish bought her car. She bought a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. The car is black and had 114 miles on it at the time of purchase. So with Cherish buying her car you all know what that means. YES, Dylan got his licence and bought Cherish's old car. He got a smoking deal at $500.

So now I am caught up and we are at July, assuming I have not missed anything. Well for the past three years we have hosted a 4th of July party. So yes we again hosted our party and had such a good time with family, friends, swimming, food, and of course fireworks.

Oh yes we have also celebrated birthdays with all of our four legged babies since my last post. I will include pictures of them all.

Please look at all posts for pictures: Listed by each month starting with November 2011- July 2012. Enjoy!
