HAPPY NEW YEAR

Rick and I would like to wish all our family and friends a Safe and Happy New Year. We wish the coming year to be the best year yet for all of you (and us). We love you all and feel very fortunate to have all of you in our lives.

Christmas in Disneyland

Christmas Day outside the Haunted Mansion. This ride is spectacular with Christmas decorations.
Our traditional Mickey picture. We get our picture done with Mickey every trip.

The group heading for The Twilight Zones Hollywood Tower of Terror. I have been on it but do not care for it. They group went on it a couple of times.
Rick and I in line for Indiana Jones, with the kids of course.
In line for Space Mountain.

Special Mickey Mouse shaped sourdough bread that I had to have. I thought it was cool.

We had so much fun in Disneyland. For those who did not know, we went to Disneyland for Christmas. We drove on the 23rd and 26th, went in the parks the 24th and 25th. We had a great time and the decorations and lights were fantastic, but we missed being with family and friends. We have decided that we can see the Christmas decorations anytime during the Christmas season but for future years we will spend Christmas at home with family and friends. Our good friends Dwight, Cynthia, and Zaac stayed at our house with our babies so we could make this trip. We appreciate this so much.

Christmas in Prescott

Aubrey (sister in-law) and Chuck (brother) Middaugh

Christmas in Prescott is a tradition we have had for about 14 or so years now. The first Saturday of December every year the Middaugh side of my family goes to Prescott Valley, AZ and celebrates Christmas together. Grandma and Grandpa Ron started this all those years ago and chose the first Saturday of December so we did not interfere with company parties or any other plans we may make.
This was our second Christmas without grandma (she is missed and talked about during our get togethers). We also miss our family in South Carolina who we do not get to see as often as we would like.
This year we took grandpa to Cracker Barrel. We had allot of fun and great conversation.

Happy Birthday Bill!

Today Bill would have been 34. Although my brother is not with us anymore we still think about, talk to, and involve him in family events.

The last Christmas Bill spent with us Bill and Rick made a gingerbread house with the kids and when the sugar did not work as glue the two of of them used super glue. Nine years ago Rick and I started purchasing gingerbread houses to go with our Christmas theme in memory of our last Christmas with Bill.

Bill's life was shorter than any of us expected but he made a big impact in the lives of those who knew him. We will love and miss him forever and will always share our memories with each other.

Happy 19th Birthday Cherish!!!

We went to Red Lobster for Cherish's birthday and had one of the best waiters, his name is Tim.

Cherish was a little embarrassed by our awful singing.

Dylan, Tony, Wes, and Cherish.

The waiters singing.
We had so much fun and laughed allot. Tim (our waiter) said his face hurt from laughing so much. It was a great night.

We have moved

Master bath

Master bedroom

Living room

Foyer

Game room

Kitchen

Outdoor covered patio/BBQ area

The weekend of November 14th and 15th we moved. We love our new home which was called home to my aunt and cousin who now live in California many years ago and most recently my uncle and aunt who have now purchased a home they could share with their horses.
We have found a home where Cherish, Dylan, and Tony each have their own room. We have two bathrooms (finally), two car garage, pool, and a large kitchen that Rick and I can enjoy cooking together in with plenty of extra room. We will be happy for a very long time in our home.

Cherish bought a car

About two weeks ago now Cherish bought her own car. She bought a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. The car is blue and had 87,000 miles. This car was previously owned by somebody in Sun City so was very well taken car of. She had saved money and would have rather purchased a new car but kept being told she had no credit.
We are very proud of her. She has been working at Phoenix Children's Hospital since January as a temp employee, but was recently hired on as a permanent employee. She now has her own benefits and vacation pay. Cherish is really good with her money and purchased her car and insurance and everything else on her own.

Dylan and Tony expressing themselves

Dylan with red tips and Tony with purple. This is not a Halloween costume.

Dylan not wanting me to take a picture to post. He loves his new hairdo but is not happy that one week after he cut his hair Tony copied.

Tony acting like Zoolander. He thinks he is so sexy, just ask him, he will tell you.

Halloween

This year we went to my sister Chrissy's and brother-in-law Keith's house for Halloween night. We had so much fun.

This is the haunted house they set up which was a hit with the neighborhood and many other neighborhoods. Children were being driven in to enjoy the haunted house and many left after being frightened. They loved it. This is Tony walking away.

Above is Rick and my brother Chuck. Can you tell which is which?

I am sure you figured it out, but if not this is my brother Chuck. My sister-in-law Aubrey got a picture of Rick's tattoo off an earlier blog posting and replicated it on Chuck's arm. To our surprise he really did shave his head.

Here is a picture of Dylan in his costume.

Chrissy and Keith

The haunted house with the two main spooksters, Keith and Mindy.

Tanner and Caleb

Little Miss Lahna Marie, she is a cat.
